A double cab 4x4 costs meaningfully more to hire than a single cab 4x2 and carries less. If the job is moving furniture, hire the single cab.

A code B licence covers vehicles with a gross vehicle mass up to 3 500kg, and virtually all one-tonne bakkies sit inside that limit, so an ordinary car licence is enough.
